If you can get Smart, I'd go with them. I've been with them for 2 years and no problems. I know they're in the Coolock exchange, not sure about Clontarf.

    Parts of Clontarf have Smart.
If they are available, there's no contest.

    THanks for the help.
What makes smart so good anyways
I was thinking of going with NTL considering I already have ntl cable...
And if i was to go with Smart I would have to get the phone line re enabled which would probably cost around 100 quid

    hi Tiesto,

Just been through same thing as yourself, just move into raheny area, used to have VOIP with NTL broadband +cable tv. Now just have NTL t.v. and had to order a telephone line from eircom, next I will transfer line over to B.T. to get phone and BB.
Try Digiweb for wireless BB, have to be in line of sight of three-rock (I wasn't)
    See here for options www.callcosts.ie

    pan

I was just onto eircom there and they told me its free to re enable my line..
So what if I was to use Smart...
Do i need to contact smart and tell them i want BB from them BEFORE I ask eircom to re enable the line..
What i mean is if eircom re enable the line, will that mean they will start charging me line rental straight away...

also, who should i opt for.
    Magnet or Smart

you need to reenable to line with eircom (because they own the lines)
As soon as you got you number +a/c number from eircom, call whoever to transfer phone+get BB

Are smart still going? They had finanical problem awhile back, but I not sure what the outcome was!!

    yeah they are still going..
Many ppl have said I should go with Smart if they are available in my area.

But i was thinking what about Magnet/ digiweb..
    Some opinions please ppl.

    THanks

On paper that looks great.....what's the catch/small print ?

I've been convinced that Smart's phone line + 3MB/zero contention/no caps or limits for €35 was the best option available (and yeah, if you can get it I'd thoroughly recommend it)

But what's Digiweb's spec for €20 ? I'd assume that at that price it can't match Smart's offering (which is now upped to 4MB for €40, with an option for all UK & Ireland calls for a fixed €5 extra) but is the €20 saving worth the difference in service ?

I presume the "LOS" means that it's a wireless offering ?

Smart is uncapped up and down, min. 4MB (Basic package), though up to 8MB/512 available.
    No line rental.

Rock solid connection and best of all, not eircom.
