was behind a jeep today in Moate , it was just getting dark, I could see the jeep had its front lights on but had no rear lights or brake lights showing, as we were stuck in traffic I was going to get out and tell the driver he had a fault however noticed he was a big lad and thought he might not appreciate it so I didn't. what would you do in this case?

I would have said it to them - they may not be aware of it and if said politely they are unlikely to get snotty about it.

it's too late now I know, just wondering what others would have done. in hindsight I kinda regret not saying it.

I've said it on a few occasions, every single time it was appreciated. I was driving a van and somebody told me and I was glad also.. I check them regularly, it was the switch on my pedal that went so thay all went at the same time (just wanted to get that in before i got torn apart for being irresponsible :D )
