Nightclubs in Killkenny on Friday Nights

    We are planning a weekend in Killkenny for a mates stag and Ive been told that no nightclubs are open on a Friday night. Could this be true?
    Any advice on good pubs and clubs for the weekend would be great.

    ..... Langtons Club (the club most people go to) doesn't open o a friday night for some odd reason. However there's other places you can go, Matt The Millers, Club 51, The Venue, Neros (if it's still called that) and a couple of other places.

    Anyway, there's plenty to do :) God knows kilkenny people still get drunk on a Friday night..... and a Thursday and a Saturday and a Sunday ;)

    Your better off going down saturday, much better, more people and all the places are open. The venue is a quality laugh, I think theres a boards user here who is a dj there:confused:

    Friday nights have gone quieter but you'd still have a good time with your mates. You wouldn't be missing much by not having Langtons nightclub to go to. Avoid Club 51 or 52 (or whatever it's called these days) attached to O'Faolain's. It's grotty. The other clubs are OK.

    Langtons has Mostly Weddings on fridays hence no nightclub. The Venue is
    about the best Club on a friday night.

    i was there last night, a good laugh. Are you a dj there at times, might be thinking about someone else though.....

    Ah yes, one of the few reputable DJ's in town. Still I wouldnt like him enough to pay to go into the dive that is the Venue (and apparently I'm barred from there anyway :rolleyes: )

    Langtons don't open on Friday as they host weddings on Fridays.
