Myself and my boyfriend applied for the affordable housing scheme in the dun laoghaire rathdown county council area. We applied back in November of 2005 and we are still waiting to move in! We were offered an apartment in a new development in Ballybrack but because of major plumbing problems ie the sewage pipe exploding causing the whole apartment to be ruined. We have now been offered an apartment in the Rochestown ave area and we have accepted it but we are just a little peed off at the lack of correspondence being offered to us. We were told b4 xmas that this would all be sorted out by the end of January and it is now Feb and we are still no further.

Has anyone else had any dealings with the council and how did you find them?

    Thanks
