Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/profile.php follow the instructions from the site. I think you have to put it in your flickr profile to get it to work

I think I got it down.

I copied just the link for the picture itself. But question. Will that keep updated now like the one on my profile seeing as the html code is missing?

Every hour Big something labs regenerates the same image so it's always up to date.

How did you get the background of the pic to match the background here? or it is just transparent?, and if so how you get that done?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,058 ✭✭✭Dara Robinson

Well, for those that are or will be wondering how to do it yourselves later. I fuigured out what the right colour was.

All you have to do is to change some simple HTML code in the picture link.
    http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/profilewidget/recent/[b][U]000000[/U][/b]/[b][U]F5F5FF[/U][/b]/***********.jpg

You change the 1st highlighted one to change the colour of the text and the second one is for the background.

F5F5FF is the background colour of the forum post areas

    Go nuts kids!!!

Step 1.- Goto Big huge labs for your profile widget

Step 2.- Follow the instructions and create your profile widget.

Step 3.- As indicated above, from the HTML provided, grap the link to the picture (you only need the link to the picture).

Step 4.- Edit your signature and click the insert image button and add the link.

Step 5.- For added effect you can get the background of your Profile Widget to match the boards.ie backgroung. All you have to do is to change some simple HTML code in the picture link.

The problem with the above Dara is that your widget does not link to your Flickr page. I got the image to appear too but that's of little use if it doesn't link. Sebastian's on the other hand does. So how did he do it?

    Sebastian?

The above is my sig, as far as I can tell it is linked.
(note there are some spelling errors in the vb code so you can read it)

When I click on your widget it doesn't link, Dara. It's just an image. That's the problem.

If you put an URL tag around the image tag, you should get your link. Thats how i did it with my signature.

Hey lads, anyone wana offer me some help with this? Been trying for ages now to get this set up (and im not a retard)...

At the moment my boards profile sig looks like this ...
    [URL="[IMG]http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/profilewidget/recent/000000/F5F5FF/12095920@N06.jpg[/IMG]"]12095920@N06.jpg[/URL]

Had to put the spaces in to show the code, otherwise it would just show my widget.

Just watch out for spaces, and those little things. Delete all spaces in my example.

If the widget says it's refreshing just let it do it. It'll work fine you come across it a few times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,468 ✭✭✭✭Blazer

that's the prob..it says it's refreshing...but after about 5 mins it dissappears completely from my sig

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

Just go back to Bighugelabs and make another widget, then update your sig with the new URL.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

It can sometimes take 10-15 mins to update the widget.

Don't worry about it. It's in your signature, and will eventually update.

Berkut when you select the widget option on BigHugeLabs, what's the number look like? You'll find it in all the code they give you to copy and paste.

    http://flickr.com/photos/******@N**

Tell me this and I'm sure we can sort you out.

Just quote me on that above, remove the quote tags and you should have it. Copy and paste the code from the URL tags into your sig and your good to go.

Modaroonies...... maybe we should have a sticky on the flickr widget?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,468 ✭✭✭✭Blazer
