    Temple Bar Music Centre - Feb 10th - 11.00pm

Breakology and Scribble, in conjunction with Corona will be taking over the Temple Bar Music Centre on Saturday Feb 10th and are extremely pleased to welcome back to Dublin one of Breakbeats true legends, and one of only three people to win an 'Outstanding Contribution To Breakbeat' award at the anual breakbeat awards Breakspoll, Meat Katie (aka Mark Pember). He'll be joined by Irish breaks kings, Splitloop, and Hacienda legend , Greg Wilson.

    MEAT KATIE:

Meat Katie has raised to the top of the pile in recent years by developing his style of tech-funk, combining techno, electro,
    breakbeat and house. This
has seen him release three excellent artist albums and four compilations including the critical and commercial success Fabric 21. He has played the world over, and his last show in Dublin sold out Crawdaddy in what was one of the best breaks gigs the capital has ever seen. In the past, he has worked with a host of other legends including; Boy George, U.N.K.L.E, Arthur Baker, Peace Division and Deep Dish.

    SPLITLOOP:

Mark will also be joined in the main room by Splitloop. The Irish duo have made a name for themselves on the international scene as being two extremely drunk, burned out ageing ravers... who happen to make absolutely massive tracks that destroy rooms and then play them out like they're actually enjoying themselves (an increasingly hard to find trait in international acts). Phil and Bren released their debut album Here On Business last year on Krafty Kut's label, Against The Grain and have been locked away in their studio plotting their second album which is due late '07. The last year has seen the lads appear on the cover of DJ-Mag, tour the likes of Russia, Spain, Austrailia, China, Newzealand and the UK, and get two tracks from their album licensed for an MTV show.

    GREG WILSON:

As if the above wasn't enough, legendary DJ, Greg Wilson will be playing the bar on the same night. Greg was right at the forefront of the Electro-Funk scene that emerged in the early 1980s. As the nation was swept up with the Hip Hop movement arriving from New York, mixing, scratching and breakdancing was introduced to the UK for the first time. Wilson was in the centre of it all, managing and recording with Broken Glass, the most well known UK breakdance group at the time. He also became the first dance DJ to play at the Hacienda.Wilson can also take creditfor introducing a young Norman Cook to the delights of turntable scratching and spinning round the floor on your head, when the 'Hacienda Review' tour stopped off in Brighton. After a 20 year break from DJing, Wilson decided to take up the decks again in 2004, after a storming set at The Music Is Better gig in Manchester the previous year.Armed with a laptop, turntables and, of course, his trusty Revox B77 reel-to-reel, Greg's alchemic mixing and customised re-edits takes the whole club DJ experience two steps beyond.
