Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

haven't seen any threads on this - Wexford Youths will be replacing Dublin City in this years first division. Is there sufficient interest in soccer in Wexford to support a league club - will they just be making up the numbers? (lets face it, a lot of the smaller clubs are).

Also - whats happening with the Limerick "franchise"...

What ground do Wexford youths play in and what is it like?

Apparently Pat Dolan will be involved in some way. Head coach or something.

    Hats off... fair dues...

I know it's been said elsewhere, but I think Mick Wallace is to be congratulated for bucking the trend and putting money into Irish football, where so many others have turned sugar-daddy for English and Scottish clubs.

That said, I think the name is, simply, awful.

I think it was Wallace on Newstalk last night. I just caught a bit of it. He said Dolan will be his assistant but he still has a full time job with Setanta.

I agree with this whole post.

    F365 -
While the good people of Wexford are no doubt delighted that millionaire Mick Wallace has taken over the running of Wexford Youths, a few dissenting eyebrows were raised when he described himself as "a devoted enthusiast of Italian football, and Juventus in particular".

    Oh oh!

Its just past the Ferrycarrig hotel on the n11, it looks great driving by loads of pitches and floodlights.
