Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Bomb Explodes At DVLA
    Updated: 10:31, Wednesday February 07, 2007

A woman has been injured after a parcel bomb exploded at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency centre in Swansea, the third such attack in three days.

The latest blast happened in the post room of the DVLA.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said a woman had been injured in "a small letter-type explosion" at around 9.23am and taken to hospital.

She said: "Police are in attendance following an incident at the DVLA offices in Swansea, where a small explosion has been reported.

"One female has been taken to hospital with injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"A cordon has been put in place and nearby residents are being evacuated as a precautionary measure.

"Emergency services remain at the scene as further investigation is carried out."

Yesterday two people were hurt when a package exploded in Wokingham, Berkshire, at the offices of an accountancy firm linked to Speed Check Services, the provider of digital speed cameras to the police.

That followed a letter bomb attack the day before in which one person was hurt at the central London offices of Capita, which runs London's congestion charge system.

The latest attack appears to confirm fears that an enraged motorist is mounting a daily letter bomb campaign.

Thames Valley Police are understood to be leading the investigation into the letter bomb campaign and have appointed a senior investigating officer to work with the other police forces involved.

Scotland Yard's counter terrorism unit is investigating Monday's blast.

They better give him points on his license for this. Double if he challanges it in court.

Sky news is on beside me here. The fourth package was addressed to a "Ms. Britney Spears".

EDIT: pimlico package is a hoax.

Yeah, but half the bombs would never make it to their destinations because of permanent traffic jams and the delivery vans falling down potholes. If this bomber thinks he has it bad on British roads, it's a good thing for everyone that he doesn't live here.

I don't know why people seem to think the roads in the UK are so great, try the A14 coming into Cambridge any morning at rush hour and you'll wish you were back on the N4 or the M50

The M11 is worse than the M50 if there is a crash simply because on the M11 there are hardly any exits for you to get off at so you have to sit and wait for an hour or two for the police to remove the offending vehicles.

The A1307 into Linton every evening at rush hour is a total jam...

The list goes on. Having driven in the UK and all over Ireland I'd say we're on a par except that there are more speed cameras in England.

/licks envelope and places stamp carefully on package :D

I knew we should never have let those drivers into Europe to begin with. Them and their road hating terrorism. Typical driver.

English people are so irrational with being caught speeding. They say it's a nanny state due to speed cameras catching them. You're not meant to speed and there are very good reasons for that so I don't get why so many British people feel so passionately about breaking the law.
