Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Netopia Wirless Detection Issues

Had a quick search and could not find much relating to my issue...

In short, i just recieved my netopia router from eircom, the DSL is not active yet but that does not change the fact that I cannot detect the network.

On Vaio I can detect and connect to the wireless network without any problems.

But from my desktop PC and the router sitting next to it I cannot detect the network via windows network search utlitly, i've changed all settings to reflect the routers (wifi card and all).

Thinking perhaps my card was dead i then installed netstumbler to see if it could detect anything...and guess what it does!

Any ideas what my problem might be?

    Any help is greatly apreciated.

I've secured, unsecured, changed network settings and reflected these settings on the card... with no joy spent a good 3 hours at this last night... perhaps another proggy will detect it in windows for me, netstumbler can only detect it unfortunately

Some cards require drivers installed first and then card in that order.

Thanks Stanley but net stumbler would have difficulty finding the network if the card was not functioning correctly no?
