In a bit of a conundrum. As someone without a lot of cash Im looking for a midi controller for use with Traktor 2.6. I want to get something with a sound card and external controls - IDEALLY if cash flow was better Id get a Kontrol DJ and one of those M-audio sound cards everyone recommends but your talking 500 there, at a limited budget what should I get? Both of these controllers come recommended. I know one person who uses a Hercules quite well, but the net reviews sometomes **** all over it and at other times rave about it. The Berhinger is pretty much the same in terms of critical response on the net. Any ideas? Remember I'm using Traktor 2.6. If there are any other recommendations they are well welcome, mainly I want a good controller with onboard soundcard for previewing.

Well... Do you need jog wheels?

    If not then get this

And spend the rest of your money on a nice soundcard.

Otherwise get the Hercules - the Behringer BCD drivers are supposed to be the laughing stock of the industry and the new Mk.II Hercules doesn't look half bad. Can't really see anything else remotely in your price range - the only other option, the EKS XP-10

    doesn't have a crossfader and is a whopping 333 euro on thomann.de
