    Hi,

a friend is about to buy a 99 Avensis with a dented front wing.

The car is silver and I was thinking we could just bolt on a replacement from a scrapyard.

Question is: Are the wings on 99 Avensis bolt on or welded?

    thanks,

    Richard

No they are bolted. one at the bottom of the sill, one in behind the undercover, one at the bottom of the A pillar one uner the scuttle pad (Where the windscreen wipers are bolted on), two along the valance, and two behind the bumper, just be very careful about the scuttle pad they break very easy.

You can get the wings spurious too, its unlikely you'll get a silver one second-hand and if you did it probably wouldn't be the same shade.

Most avensi are silver, with the odd green one thrown in. It is a known fact.
