Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

About a week ago, my secondary hard drive (a Maxtor 300GB SATA II) crashed and took the system with it. It's not the most stable HD in the world :( but disk crashes and failures under SATA II mode are quite rare.

Now, ever since then, every time I start Windows, it checks one of the partitions even though the computer had been shut down properly.

Any way I can get it to stop doing that?

try going to start > run and typing "chkdsk f: /x /f /r"
That'll dismount it and run a thorough scan and should hopefully stop it from doing that the next time you restart... (had the same problem myself years ago and this resolved it afair...)
