video clips problem

When i try to watch a video clip from a website say http://www.yourfilehost.com/ when i choose to watch the clip the window opens but i only see a red x in top left hand corner. this had only happened in last 2 days it was working fine until then. have codec's and all installed so anyone got any ideas????
