    Hi, im just wondering if you are banned by M$ for playing backed up games, is it just the console or is it your gamer tag also?

    Its your physical XBOX that is banned, probably your gamer tag too.
    All the information that MS use to identify you on LIVE is stored in the EEPROM.

    Playing backup games on LIVE will get you banned straight away. You can play original discs on LIVE with a softmod if you have a softmod like SID4 Knave Edition or Krayzie Ndure Edition.

    You "could" get a new EEPROM with ConfigMagic but you could also feck up your XBOX too.
