    Hi

If you get Cable broadband from NTL or Chorus will the broadband signal be available at all points of the coax network in the house?

Like most houses the line is split at a junction box and goes to the Sitting room and bedroom. So if I put a modem on either end will it pick up a signal?

    Thanks

Should do, yeah. Ive my cable from the box on the wall split to TV and modem without issue.

Surely does, If you have cable broadband and cable TV they use a splitter to seperate the line alright.

Won't work through an amplified splitter unless it is a US one sold with "suitable for Broadband" on it.

A "tap" type splitter reduces the signal too much, unless the TV is on the "Tap" out and the Modem on "main" out. Needs to be a regular high quality 5-860MHz 2-way splitter.

If your BB signal RX S/N is too low or TX power too high (192.168.1.100 page) then your broadband may fail when you add the splitter.
