/// BACKLASH /// Thursday 15 Feburary /// Trinity Arts Festival Closing Party
Rogue, 64 Dame St, Dublin. Doors 10.30pm // Adm 7eu

A really special night ahead of us this Thursday as Backlash hosts the Trinity Arts Festival
closing party, it's not exclusive to Trinity students, all as always are welcome.

We'll have two floors of music, live visual installations and paintings supplied by the Trinity
Arts Festival, along with badges, face masks & some glo-sticks for the post nu-rave generation!

The first act we thought of when planning this night was Les Bien. One of the most exciting new
acts we've heard in ages. Their vocodered funk & disco grooves suck you in, They're difficult
to categorise and impossible to resist!

They played our New Year's party & brought us into 2007 with tracks like Nous Sommes, Here
and There and Something Else and they're playing an extended set this Thursday.
    Check out more at http://www.myspace.com/lesbien

We can't really use enough superlatives to accurately describe their sound, just check some of their
influences - ZZ top, DFA Records, Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem, Led Zeppelin, Herbie Hancock
James Brown, George Clinton, Hot Chip, The Postal Service, Van Halen, Kruder and Dorfmeister
Radiohead, Lamb, Basement Jaxx, Furry Phreaks, Annie Lennox, Daft Punk,

Speaking of New Years, Mano joined them on stage to handle the cowbell & vocoder duty for the night,
He'll be accompanying them once again, this time in DJ form + he'll be previewing even more of his
soon to be released productions for you.

Upstairs sees the second installment of the quickly titled 'Lord Byron's Pistol Club' which is a
celebration of raucous albeit badly mixed indie anthems, hosted by Clare Doherty, who puts
in only her third ever DJ performance, joined later in the evening by Backlash DJs
