Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is it with Paddy Clancy who does the papers on Morning?

Does he use that same monotonous voice in everyday speaking?

It is on that same scale as a Leonard Cohen song for setting your morning off to a good start - picture Paddy asking the wife is she up for a ride in that voice.
    :D

After the enforced absense of David Hanly, Paddy has the only gruff voice on Morning Ireland. He's the best "It Says In The Papers" reviewer, Caroline Murphy would be next.

There is the other guy, cant think of his name right now.... he sounds like he's reading a script. The script was written by an eight year old. He's probably eight years old....

Paddy is a great man for putting the emphasis on the "ree" part of "report".

Most people I know pronounce it "reh port" but no, Paddy gives it the full throttle "In this reeee port....etc etc.

    A little off topic

Dunphy does the same "reeport",and calls "news" "noos" . same as Bertie Ahearn..Is this a Dublin 9 thing?

It is not! Listen to Matt Cooper:

"News" is "Nooos" while "BUPA" is "Beeyouupa"
