Arrived in work this morning only to hear moaning from some of the people in the office about gifts they got from their significant others. It was almost as if it was Christmas v2.0 except it was sponsored by Kilmeaden for that super cheesey aroma.

So did you get any gifts you would be willing to part with for say a crate of your favourite beer or one coupon for some crazy animal loving off Tar (yes he has given me his consent)

I was brought out for a Lovely meal last night, which was a nice little surprise, and my BF bought me a super cool voucher for the Buff Day Spa.
I got him 2 tickets to see Leinster V Edinburgh this Friday, (he's gonna go with his brother) and 2 Tickets to see I KEANO on Saturday.

All in all we had a nice day and exchanged some pretty cool gifts.

I had a nice day.. wouldn't exchange any of my presents! My bf met me outside college with roses then we went back to my house, got Chinese and exchanged gifts...he got me a book I'd wanted, Take That greatest hits which I'd mentioned I wanted, a big really soft teddy and the book to go along with March of the Penguins All this despite the fact we had put a 20 euro budget on the presents! Oh well, I quite like being spoiled and I did spoil him rotten for his 21st so all in all I didn't mind!

When we were long distance, I sent flowers but now I just get her a card. I don't like the commercial imperative at all.

When I worked in a restaurant, the air of forced obligation was overwhelming. All these sulky blokes being forced to take their partners out for the meal and flowers package.

For me, our birthdays, Christmas and wedding anniversary (and whatever days we decide ourselves to get mushy) are more than enough.

Regarding the "admirer", lol, she texted me later in the night to find out if I had got the card...turned out to be this psychopath, a truly mental girl, that I was seeing briefly a looong time ago...so I didn't reply. Was that bad of me?!

On a slightly related note, wtf is up with me constantly running into girls with mental/personality problems!? I know opposites attract, but this is f*cking ridiculous!
