Bionic Commando (VC - GB) and Antipole are out this week on DS.
I was hoping for VVVVVV (which came out today in the States), but no joy.

Antipole looks like a clunkier version of VVVVVV, despite sounding like a lesbian game (badum tish).

This isn't a sure thing, but Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land came out on the Japanese Virtual Console before Christmas, so we'll probably get it soon. I love Wario Land, I played it to death on the GB.

Since VVVVVV was reviewed on Eurogamer today, does that mean it's out tonight? :)

VVVVVV is great fun but I got it as part of the humble bundle 4 over christmas and I just don't think that the ability to take it on the road justifies the €6(?) price tag. its good fun and ideal for quick play but its diverting only.

Nope. :( No Virtual Console title either.
Guessing VVVVVV on the 19th, then 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for general release on the 26th.
Not that interesting, probably pick up VVVVVV though, I'm pretty much a sucker for picking up every piece of 3DS Ware...(except 3D Classics/Let's Golf...but i'll eventually get around to it :P)

Was worth more originally when it was first released i believe, silly indie bundles devaluing titles like that! :pac:

    No VVVVVV yet :(
    Wii Virtual Console
Prince of Persia (Super NES, Ubisoft, 800pts) — The rather good Super Nintendo version of Jordan Mechner's classic adventure game finally comes to the Wii. Look for our upcoming review to see if it's still worth the money.
    3DS Virtual Console
Prince of Persia (Game Boy Color, Ubisoft, £4.50/€5) — What? Two PoP games in one week? Such is the generosity of Nintendo and Ubisoft, as the GBC version comes to Europe. Can it justify its £4.50 price tag? We'll let you know.
    DSiWare
40-in-1 Explosive Megamix (Nordcurrent, 800pts) — Another compendium from Nordcurrent, can it improve on the publisher's previous DSiWare output? We'll tell you with our review, coming soon.
Come On! Heroes (CIRCLE Entertainment, 200pts) — Another game from the studio that loves the word "heroes", CIRCLE's action game isn't a bad way to spend 200 Points, as our Come On! Heroes review explains.

Is it just me or is kneading the dough in Cooking Mama a little erotic?
Why did that download and Resi Revs didn't?

It's a pity they couldn't have actually done some work and gave us the Japanese only Color version :roll eyes:

along with no Super Gameboy features for those games which have them...

    Typical Nintendo.

So the US has that crap third party Samurai game, VVVVVV, Mutant Mudds this week and Sakura Samurai next week...we're beginning to fall behind :( Stupid PEGI/etc taking so long to rate stuff.
Hopefully if there's no third party title available by next (Mutant Mudds definitely won't) Nintendo will have Sakura Samurai reading for simultaneously release in the US/EU.

I have to ask - are people really buying these "Teach yourself maths" type games in huge numbers? I can't imagine that they are.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,698 ✭✭✭✭Princess Peach

I've finished Pullblox so I got Doodle Fit on the DSiWare. Not really the same but another similar puzzle game and I really like it. Fun and challenging.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,529 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

    Another weak week. :o

Kid Icarus for those who didn't get it for free (€6)

Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon (€5) - made by the guys who did Metroid Prime Pinball, which was a pretty good game.

Also on DS, Castle Conqueror: Against (€2).
On WiiWare, TNT Racers (for 1000 points).

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-01-30-3d-classics-kid-icarus-on-3ds-eshop-this-week

No sign of VVVVVV or Mutant Mudds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭nitromaster

Mutant Mudds will be a few weeks apparently...no word on VVVVVV i don't think and with Nicalis's record....:roll eyes:

Also that third party Samurai game nobody cares about....Wonder why Nintendo couldn't have released their game Sakura Samurai though simultaneously like with previous eshop releases.

From the release list posted just before christmas:
    VVVVVV (Nicalis): TBC January 2012
SpeedThru: Potzol's Puzzle (Nintendo): TBC February 2012
    Colors! 3D (Collecting Smiles): TBC Q1 2012
Fun! Fun! Minigolf Touch! (Shin'en Multimedia): TBC Q1 2012
Mutant Mudds (Renegade Kid): TBC Q1 2012
    Dillon's Rolling Western (Nintendo): TBC Q1 2012

And Nintendo's Samurai game...7 scheduled titles in total for 8 weeks of eshop updates. There better be something next week or else. :pac:

    Oops... :)

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-06-kirbys-block-ball-crush3d-demo-on-nintendo-3ds-eshop

Wii gamers are served BurgerTime World Tour for 1000 Points (about £7).

Crazy Cheebo: Puzzle Party (£1.80/€2) and colourful side-scroller Gaia's Moon (£1.80/€2) for DSiWare.

    Agreed.
It's a sequel to Thruspace on WiiWare which has a demo available (most of the WiiWare demos returned recently btw  ) which may be worth checking out.

Some impressions of it (under it's US name) here: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/review/29790

I'll probably pick it up anyway next time i get credit or top up my o2 card :pac:

On another note, Colors! 3D hitting Europe on April 19th for 6 euro. Been doing pretty well in the US and a lot of good reports/examples on neogaf here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=469134
"The Colors! 3D community has already uploaded over 10000 3D paintings to the Colors! Gallery, with no signs of slowing down."
