Have they stopped selling eshop credit in bricks and mortar stores? I've recently got the nintendo bug buying a 3DSXL but dont want to use my credit card anymore.

They should have them in Gamestop with all the other prepaid cards they sell. I saw them in my local one during the week anyway.

    Which Tesco? :)

Merrion. Near the tills where they have all the voucher cards.

Gave Gun man Clive a spin this evening, good fun and a snip at E1.50 would be nice if it weren't all so brown though.

Is harmoknight worth my 15 euro?

I like it, but there is something off about it. The timing on button presses is weird. Check some reviews and you'll see that it's a common complaint.

When is the VC updated? Just remembered I never bought F-Zero. Forgot clean about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,529 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Used to be Thursday at 11pm. Now it can be any time on a Thursday I think....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,253 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Cheers. Must get it tonight. Then get Super Metroid when it's available at the end of next month

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Sorry CT - You've missed F-Zero by about a month. Current one is Punchout
Don't think you can buy them once the 30c deal is up, I can't buy Balloon Fight - there's no purchase button or indication of the non-trial price.

Punchout expires tomorrow I think, with the next title being Kirby.

    Edit :
    Details here -

A bit OT but does anyone know if the Version of Donkey Kong that was preinstalled on the Red Wii is available anywhere on the VC/Eshop?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

WiiU is getting Donkey Kong (NES) in July - would assume that it's the same revised port?

(Answer presumes you have access to a Delorean, a red phone box, a blue phone box or a spaceship with a whale in it)

I see that Bit Trip Saga is now available digitally in the eshop. Probably cheaper on cartridge, but it's a perfect digital game. €19.99. Tons of content, so it's great value.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

I can't recommend it on cart. This is one of those games you'll want to be able to fire up when you're in the mood, but not necessarily plow hours into on successive days. As such, it doesn't suit cartridge unless you carry lots of games on the go.

Costs about €7 on cart though... Tough decision :)

Great games though. Hypnotic, clever and very addictive

Bit Trip Runner alone makes it worth it for me. I had it on the Wii, but it's fantastic on portable.

There are very few games that give me the shakes and break me out in a cold sweat, but this is one of them.

Those F#$%ING ORANGE AND PURPLE BOUNCING CUBES!!! :)

Just outta curiosity, is there a list of all apps/games currently free on Wii u and 3ds eshops? Think Wii u panorama view is free till the end of this month and Tank, Tank, Tank is free. Anything else apart from game demos?

Finished them last year on an emulator, but damn it, I can't resist grabbing them for the 3DS. :)
    They're such good games.
