Been waiting for Afterburner... will probably cave and get Thunderblade too...
Wait, I'm spending a fortune on a Switch, what the ****, Banjo! You're not made of money. You're not a Czech! (ahahahahahahahaaaaaa)

    Edit :
Outrun is great. Of the ones I picked up last time (Shinobi III, Streets of Rage, Gunstar I think) it's the one I keep going back to, the one that really feels right for playing on the go - even when you're doing well, a round doesn't take *that* long. And the music is superb...

Yeah, nice discounts on the Sega 3D Classics range!

I was thinking "Woo excellent would love to play Afterburner and Out Run on my TV via Wii U"... then discovered it's 3DS... gah!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Bought Gunstar and Streets of Rage 2 last time might pick up a few more, as always thanks for the update sir.

But we know on Switchmas all of these will magically populate our SD cards. Right? Right?

As much as Outrun looks very cool, and plays the same way, on the 3DS, my heart belongs to Outrun 2 and the updated Outrun 2006 Coast2Coast that I can play on my lowly PSP, just awesome

I have a Wii and Wii U. Never bought any virtual console games to date. I want to get Majora's Mask - am I right in thinking if I buy it on Wii, I can then transfer it for free to my Wii U? Hence have it on both consoles with just the one purchase

Good God man, No! Nintendo would never let you do something convenient like that. If you bought it on Wii, you could transfer it to Wii U but you wouldn't have the copy on the Wii anymore. You also would have to pay them an upgrade charge as well. I think it's €2. You missed the Zelda sale a few weeks ago. It wasn't great though as the discount was only 30% iirc.

    Yeah.

"Dan McFox Head Hunter" is code for "No sale on 3DS this week, try again next week."

I might be unclear on the wording, but am I seeing that we get a Yokai Watch theme for downloading a demo, or is that just the full game?

I have the demo and the full game but physically, is it on the shop you saw that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Confirmed - you get the code when you download the demo of Yo Kai Watch II and Ninty mail you this :
Thank you for purchasing YO-KAI WATCH™ 2: Special Demo.
A promotional code has been issued, which you can find below.
Please verify the content before using it.

Handily, when the download completes / just before you go into Sleep Mode to complete the download you get a page on your 3DS confirming the code, and a Use button that lets you claim it immediately. It's Hovernyan, who I don't recognise from the show but is yet another cat. This time a grumpy looking one.

Edit : presumably if you downloaded the demo previously you could check the receipt for the code, or remove it and redownload it? Make sure it's the new demo for the 2 sequels, not the original game though!

Just logged in there, no sign of Binding of Isaac, just the Splatoon testfire and the Neo Geo game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,529 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

I had a quick look around and it seems like there is a chance that Isaac digital might be held back until the boxed release, whenever that is. Weeks? Months?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,277 ✭✭✭✭VinLieger

Why am I not surprised about Nintendo screwing european customers? If we have to wait for the boxed release that's a disgrace

When you're setting up the console and opening the eshop for the first time, it should ask if you want to merge your balances, so I'd assume you could access any Wii U/3DS credit on the Switch.

Accessing other eshops on the Switch:

    http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/03/guide_how_to_access_the_nintendo_switch_eshop_for_multiple_regions

It's important to point out that if you change your existing account to be a new region, then you lose any credit that you had on your original account (allegedly).

Adding a new account (as per the link above) is safer.
