    HI
I am new to Dublin, and i was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good athletics shop, i.e., for shorts, singlets, running tights etc. I know Elverys sometimes carry this kind o fstock, but they tend not to have a very big selection of athletics stuff. I am looking for a specialised athletics shop, a bit like John Buckley's in Cork.

    Many thanks

I've yet to find one. Go to amphibian king for trainers and Arnotts usually has a range of clothing. I often buy off the net though.

Sportsworld in Terenure is a specialist Athletic shop, or so they claim. Other than that, Arnotts or Elverys is just about it.

sportsworld are pretty good, they usually stock asics, adidas, puma and nike running gear. tk maxx is also suprisingly good sometimes. they get in ron hill, nike and adidas running gear now and then..

    Hi,

I highly recommend purchasing online. I use a site called http://www.runrepublic.ie/ on a regular basis and find both the service and stock to be very good.

    Also worth loking at www.irishfit.ie

Generally, I find the shops in Dublin to have a very poor and limited stock. Having said that, I have never been in Sportsworld.

    Hope this is of help.

    Jason.

I find that Champion Sports on Grafton Street (St Stephen's Green end) has a reasonable selection of Nike items on the ground floor.
You can find a few non-team stuff in JJB Sports (Blanch, Liffey Valley and Tallaght).
I'm a fan of Arnotts too.

Under Armour now have a men's and women's range for running...both heatgear and coldgear.... have a look at underarmour.co.uk.

You can order from Fightlord.com, a very new Irish site.... although they don't have the running gear on their site yet, they can get you almost anything thats on the Under Armour UK site (as long as it's in stock at UA) and it's free delivery (anywhere in Ireland) for shorts,t-shirts, beanies and sports bras. Just drop them and email at info@fightlord.com and you can pay via the site or by paypal.
