Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone got Vista working with ROS or Business banking certs/java plugins?

Having a hell of a time getting them to work and ROS aren't to keen to help as they state "up to XP" for compatability

    OK figured it out

    Switch protected mode off

For ROS to check goto https://www.ros.ie/java/javachecker.jsp

If it bumps you back to the login page with a JAVA box with a red X you have the right version of JAVA

Go to security settings in tools options security and switch off protected mode (bottom of the page)

ignore the nanny warnings and refresh the page

    You should get your login

NOTE Vista upgrade held onto the certs :D

    Be careful with Java.

There is a new version out there , version 1.6, and at present, ROS will not work with this new version.

They are aware of the problem.

Version 1.5 Update 11 is the latest version of the previous level, and that's working OK still.

Slightly off topic, but relevant, if you're using XP Pro with restricted user accounts, you will have to use an admin account once to get into ROS, so that it can save the relevant Kcrypto routines to your local disc, once it's done that, the restricted account will be able to log on, otherwise, it will fail to get into ROS, and the error messages are very unhelpful in trying to sort that out!

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

In Internet Explorer go to TOOLS - Internet Options - Advanced

About half way down should be anoption called Java (SUN) and below that a tick box "Use JRE1.5.0_04 for <applet> (requires restart)

Make sure that is ticked and close internet explorer and then start internet explorer

    Hi

Thanks for your assistance. I looked at the Java option and it is checked. I am attaching a pic of the first screen at the log in. I get the red X here and when i click 'Get the kcrypto and Java' link i get the error i posted last time. Do you have the ROS site working ?
