what ram do i buy?

hi i looking to put extra ram into my pc its a

Dell dimension 5150 it has 1gb ram
with 2 512mb sticks there
DDR2-SDRAM
max bandwidth. PC4300 (266MHz)
Manufacturer. nanya technology

info got from the programme CPU-Z

question is do i have to put the same ones into the 2 empty slots or can i get different one? and do i also have to stay with 2 512mb sticks or can i put in 2 1GB sticks into the empty slots?

You require DDR-2 RAM if the motherboard has 4 slots for RAM two of which are already occupied you can simply purchase another two 512MB modules to bring it up to 2GB.

You can also replace if you want to the existing two 512 modules with a pair of 1GB modules that run at a higher speed like DDR-2 667 (they will drop down to DDR-2 533 with the current 512MB modules present).
