punto handbrake cable

hey, just wondering if anyone can help me out here, the brake cable (from lefthandside of handbrake) in my punto (99) snapped. took it out today, which wasnt really problem as could take out from both ends, buuuut, how do i put a new one in?? with the "nut" at either end i can't just fee it through, anyone know? all help…
