I want to transfer a domain that I'm in control of to a new registrar (With whom the site is hosted, so as to simplify billing)

Last year I was tasked with redesigning the site and transfered it over to hosting365 from brinkster hosting (With whom the domain was originally registered with, I no longer have an account at brinkster).

The domain still had a year left to run, and I figured I'd transfer it in due time.

Come a year later and here I am :)

When I do a whois I get this:

    Domain Name: ******.COM
    Registrar: WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC.
    Whois Server: whois.wildwestdomains.com
    Referral URL: http://www.wildwestdomains.com
    Name Server: NS1.HOSTING365.IE
    Name Server: NS2.HOSTING365.IE
    Name Server: NS3.HOSTING365.IE
    Status: clientDeleteProhibited
    Status: clientRenewProhibited
    Status: clientTransferProhibited
    Status: clientUpdateProhibited
    Updated Date: 14-jul-2006
    Creation Date: 04-mar-2005
    Expiration Date: 04-mar-2007

    Registrant:
    *INFO*

    Registered through: Brinkster Communications Corporation
    Domain Name: *****.COM
    Created on: 04-Mar-05
    Expires on: 04-Mar-07
    Last Updated on: 01-Apr-06

    Administrative Contact:
    *INFO*

    Technical Contact:
    *INFO*

    Domain servers in listed order:
    NS3.HOSTING365.IE
    NS2.HOSTING365.IE
    NS1.HOSTING365.IE

I am not the admin or technical contact, though I can reach them relatively easily.

From the Status: clientTransferProhibited I assume I cant just tranfer it across in the usual manner, as there will be complications.

Do I need to ask the registrar (And would this be Brinkster Communications or Wild West Hosting?) to unlock the domain so I can transfer it?

Or can I just follow the steps posted here.

    Thanks

You'll need to get Brinkster to unlock the domain before a transfer will be successful.

    You'll need 3 things:
    1 - Domain unlocked
    2 - Domain EPP code
3 - admin email has to be accessible
