    Hi there,

Got my first motorised system a couple of weeks ago but today with the wind getting up the dish is moving about quite a bit and I am loosing the signal all the time in fact it is completely unwatchwable, however my sky dish is still perfect as ever.

Whats the story is this going to happen every time there is wind.

    Thanks
    TCP/IP

Diseqc mounts are fine in calm conditions but will always be a little unsteady in high winds. Make sure your bracket/pole is secure and can't wobble. Keep the dish as low to the ground as possible and if it's still knocking about, try a wind-breaker of some sort e.g. black plastic meshing you see at garden centres is good.

Failing that, you'd have to move to a sturdier 36Volt mount.

    What size is the dish?

What strength / thickness / length is the pole?

My 1.1m judders a bit on the mount in gale force, but is a VERY thick wall approx 3" pole. Possiblly ex watermain or gas main as it has a lower section connected by a very heavy threaded coupling.
