The query is; On a "sillflex" cable. The type with a clear outer insulation and a braided steel type underneath. Do you earth the "steel" at one end or both?? Cheers

One end will do assuming there is a core in the flex being used as the earth for the circuit, but it's better practice to connect both ends.
