Having him back would be brilliant but I doubt he'll be back any time soon.

He's trying to distance himself from wrestling and has done a good job of doing so.

Yeah I agree. The Hollywood Rock character from that time was brilliant. I'd love to see that Rock versus John Cena. It would be worth it for the promos alone.

I'd say The Rock will never return to wrestling. partly because it's been so long since he was there and he's distanced himself from it so well. Also he's ment to have back problems after wrestling.

He really was great in that role. It had its problems though. He was so dam entertaining that it made him impossible to boo. And in the end the match with Goldberg should have done way better business than it did. Maybe there was just a little too much comedy even if it was gold in that feud.

Apparently the reason why its never happened is down to some bad blood between the 2 when Rock first broke in with the cliq not doing him any favors.

It wasn't just not doing him any favours. Michaels and Triple H would go to Vince and badmouth him constantly. Bret Hart took him under his wing, and when Bret got screwed, Rock hated those two even more.

Rocky refuses to ever work with Michaels.
