Saturday's weather is the best looking for the weekend, so I reckon I will brave Saturday afternoon. Hopefully stick around for the Saturday evening game too.

With Holloween on Sunday I am on Little Monster Duty...:)

I'm really hoping to M - grounded here for the afternoon. H is gone off with the older kids and I'm at home babysitting a sick baby at the mo. She's not back till 7 or so. It will be a call then.

Well lads... What a f*cking brilliant day!
Real airsofting imo, best day I've had in a while. Great craic today, no messing by any means.
Sorry about that bit of overkill Dave, didn't mean to at all:o
Had some great laughs today and can't wait for next week!

The day's play was entertaining,friendly and most of all, honest.

This is the way Airsoft should be played.(IMHO)

One of the best days gaming thanks guys, liking the new gun more every time I get out to play. The games were great with the messin between games providing serious entertainment. Can't wait for daves day now.

The Midway LARP game is on this Friday evening.

I'm open to correction but I believe you can show up and play NPC roles for free if you're interested. Some of the NPCs do shoot at us ...

There's a thread somewhere about Midway in events but it hasn't seen much traffic as it's more of a LARP with airsoft in than the other way around.

There's a site for it at:

Apart from the basics of being shot and healed you don't need to know much of the rules if you're going to NPC and a rundown of that is pretty quick. I'll be there playing a regular role (Steven "Doc" Fitzmaurice, the village doctor) as will a few people some of you might recognise (Evilrobotshane is the head of the town police).

There are limited spaces on a bus from and to town (I think Nassau St) that costs extra, the forum link above has a thread where you can bagsie a space.

EDIT: I should stress this is the opposite of an all out brapfest, you might head into the field with one or two realcaps if you were playing a threatening enemy

Sorry, the terms been used in some milsim games ....

NPCs are "Non-Player Characters", they're the people the organiser throws at the players to mix the game up whether by providing useful information, coughing on us, or shooting us! It's a good way to get to know whether you'd be interested in playing as a player and is always appreciated by the organisers.

thanks. i looked up both links and the game where i would say is fun, does not appeal to me.
