Sat nav cordinates might be helpful if someone has them, the google ones are map cords, not gps i belive.
Stuck working next weekend, wont be able to make it for a while

    N 53' 32.310
    W 006' 14.956

Give or take a few inches.

Going by Paul's Google maps post this is the location of
    HRTA 2.
Anybody have any idea how to get there by public transport?
    (or close to it)
Best i can see is train to Rush and Lusk and taxi it from there.
Im sure plenty of people will offer lifts from swords or the like
but just in case there are none....

*Yes my spelling of Lusk(luck) is fantastic
Wait, are they this far apart, i thought it was just down the road.

Nah, it's about another 5 to 10 minutes away by car, not far really, but I wouldn't want to be walking it.

Next time someone with a digital camera is going to the new site, if you could take afew pictures of the various landmarks and turning points it would be great.

    N 53' 32.310
    W 006' 14.956

Give or take a few inches.

Can someone confirm these co-ordinates and I'll bang them up on www.hrta.ie.

The location I marked for HRTA 2 is based on
the location Paul gave on the google maps
    link he posted.
KD , Rabbit can either of you confirm the location on the
    map I posted?

I've no satNav, and I don't want to put up something unless its confirmed, thats just the engineer in me want to be sure to be sure.

If you were located in the old HRTA site, here are directions.

    1. Head out of HRTA and turn right at end of laneway.
    2. Take the 1st right.
    3. Head north up to Ballyboghil/Ballyboughal (signs with both spellings can be seen)
    4. Turn right when you see the big yellow house that kinda looks like a pub.
    5. Continue for 2.4km and turn left into the lane...past the Garda Superintendents house (yeah, so no speeding!)
    6. The new site is on the right, behind the house (the farmer that owns the land lives there)

Well I stood on the site and entered the current location as a waypoint. Grabbed the coords from the satnav when I got home, and posted them. Really doesn't need to be confirmed by multiple people. :p

Just wanna clear something up, does the full day rental price include the walk on fee or is it 70 euro for a full day & rental?

    Walk on All Day €25.00

    Walk on Half Day €15.00

    Rates for Rentals

    Rental All Day €45.00

    Rental Half Day €25.00

    Rental Includes

Aeg Gun, Mask and 200 BB's

I quoted that from his site it's just not very clear if the price for the rental includes walk-on fee.

Rental =45 for the Full day or 25 for Halfday.
Walk on -is where you bring ur own AEG and gear ,most of us would be walk on's, newbies are more or less use rentals.
so hope this helps 45 Flat fee for rental if u bring ur own AEG 25 Flat fee

You will need to buy ammo the 200bbs you get with the rental wont last long thats an extra 18 for 5000bbs should last more than one day ,

  • Registered Users Posts: 519 ✭✭✭Crave

Ok I know what a walk on is i've been there before, but i guess what your trying to say is.... Yes, rental fee has walk-on price included. Right?:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭liamo333

you pay 45, you get in and you get a gun.

  • Registered Users Posts: 519 ✭✭✭Crave

great a straight answer, thanks Liam:D

Right lads...anyone coming out to HRTA 2 this evening is advised to bring some tools. Nails, screws, hammers, drills, earth moving equipment & a few hundred breeze blocks.

Prefab units and shipping containers would be a bonus.

Failing this, a willingness to work and cookies for everyone will do :p
