    Hay all,

    I need to remove the car stereo tonight, but I dont have those prong things to get it out....anything else I can use?

    There only about €6 in halfords. You could try other methods there are plenty motor forums with homemade methods of doing things.

    You can buy the tool in Halfords for most stereo types. They are not too dear as far as I remember.

    What make of car is it? and did the radio come with the car?

    There are very different tools depending on the radio make.

    The brother needed to get a blaupunkt radio out of his golf, we just dropped into a Volkswagen garage and the guy let us borrow the correct tool. Took seconds to remove the radio and cost nothing.
