Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just thought I would warn peeps about the Sony Vaio recovery CD's.

They are absolute crap and dont give you the option to reinstall windows without wiping the C drive.

So any recovery automatically wipes all the data.

Why they couldnt provide an option to re-install windows only I dont know.

    Grrrr.

Have tried to re-install using a vanilla version of windows, together with a floppy contain the sata drivers and have no luck.

Now resorting to Knoppix to pick the few files off the laptop that my mate hasnt backed up.

All because whoever designed the sony recovery disks is a moron.

My last Sony came with C: and D: partitions. I think it had various options. Wipe everything. Wipe C and leave D. I put linux on it and my own XP Pro aswell.
