QUOTE=Sparks]And just which club is going to sign off on you as a member, now knowing that you're planning on an illegal act that you've publicly advertised in defiance of the DoJ?

Damn sorry about returning to this and quoting again, but I couldnt let this lie.
Sorry, did I publish my name addy etc here.????

Actually, I didn't. Because of a paperwork foul-up in Shannon, I couldn't get my motor tax renewed for nearly six months, and when I had to drive to Tralee to bury my grandmother, I got done for it.
Get used to that CG, it's not fair, it's not right, and it's what happens to people who have little influence or money in this state. People like you and me.

And you had every right to appeal it,and issue a summons against the tax office in Shannon to appear as awitness for defence to explain your fecked up paperwork in court.AMAZING how quick paperwork gets sorted out then.Cos I was in the same situation once and the fine and paperwork were sorted out jaldi by revelant bodies. You just have got to want to do it.
Remember what public servantsare;SERVANTS to the PUBLIC,they are there because of our tax monies,so they are accountable not vise versa.
Keep up with the times son, I've been out of college for the past three years. I just go back there to coach the college rifle club team. And as to air rifle not being living, you come tell me when you can shoot that well, we don't need a slug the size of the seven ring when we're shooting :p

When you can shoot a straight ten in DTL,or bag a double of mallard,or bring home enuff meat for the freezer, cant eat paper.:p :p
No, they were not. They were civvie smallbore and fullbore ranges that got closed because they couldn't get up to code (the london ranges are smallbore and their lease is up and the clubs aren't being allowed renew them 'cos the land is too valuable and they can't afford to make it worth the owners while).
And THAT Mucker,is going to be the BIGGEST problem facing Irish shooting, getting somwhere to shoot.Setting up your range to be inspected, etc

Don't be daft you silly bugger. If you really want to know what you're up against, then call the TV inspector and report yourself; and when the TV inspector calls to the door, refuse him entry. He'll go away and come back within a week with a Garda escort and a court order, and a summons to come to court and pay a six hundred-odd euro fine.

    BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!:D :D:D
Now,you REALLY have lost it Son!!!!A TV liscense inspector has NO RIGHT whatsoever to enter your premises, unless you invirte him in..He is a civvie, nor can he enter a premises with the front gates closed.Oh dear dear you really need to pick up on common law.

    ,
but hey, fighting the man is more important than any of those things, right?
Somtimes it is very important, because if somone does not stand up and do so,all the otheres wont .But then here in Ireland we like our heros dead, after a glorious failed struggle, rather when they are alive and doing some good.

Sparks, board rules mean I can't, but if you weren't a mod, that would have earned a ban.

No offence taken guys.As Sparks said typing on a net you looose all sorts of human interface that makes conversation.I know I've typed things as well ,that would be offensive to some as well.

CG, I know your name, so do the other mods and half the posters on the board. It's not much of a secret, and we don't use it out of common courtesy, not out of lack of knowlege.

Correct. That's why he comes back a week later with the Gardai and the court order. Or sooner, if you tick him off.
    Somtimes it is very important
Sure it is. With a decent test case, resources lined up and ready, and noone else going to get nailed as a result, and people agreeing to have their resources used that way. You're talking about going off on your own and committing a criminal act, the fallout of which would adversely affect all of us. That's not "being a hero", that's being irresponsible and inconsiderate.

    [birds,
Cheney used it drunk, broke a cardinal safety rule and used it to shoot an old man in the face :p

But he increased his pouplarity 100 %by shooting a lawyer.:D
Seriously joking aside,on driven shoots this is an all too common accident.Especially on US shoots, because of the style of hunting where it is usually 1 to 2 shooters and both have a 180 degree of fire to their left or right, depending on where you are situated
IE left shooter can shoot from the 12 o clock to 6 o clock position on his left.Same for the right shooter.
In Europe it is more common a 12 oclock to 3 or 9 o clock shooting arc.
So like anything it is VITAL that you know where your partner is on a US bird hunt.
Plus, there isnt a bird hunter I know that has not got a few pellets somtime in their life or been hit by a few.Shooting accidents will happen, this was hyped up alot because of who it was,but a reminder that all of us are fallible.

Yeah, because I gave you and them it on PMs.Ingenious Holmes!!
Correct. That's why he comes back a week later with the Gardai and the court order. Or sooner, if you tick him off.
And by that time you will have moved your TV or have rewired your monitor to your DVD player and say all you watch is DVDs.There is no reciving equipment[which is the liscense requirement] Old student digs trick.;)
Or just say you shot the TV set ,because of all the nonsense being shown

The GPO rising would proably never have happened and Americas would be still ruled by Tony Blair:eek: Nice if it happens but somtimes than most you go unprepared to these things.

No, I've known who you were for far longer. You're not that little-known CG.
Good job you werent around in 1916 or 1776
I seem to recall both times getting both the people directly involved as well of lots of innocent bystanders killed or injured; and nothing getting changed until years or centuries later anyway. But we're wildly off the point now, as opposed to just meandering a bit.
