Ye jammy f*ckers! Saw electric6 2 years ago in galway, unbelievable live band. This is their ONLY irish date this year! I never went to Maynooth but chanced my arm for tickets off the SU yesterday...sold out!

it was pretty cool alright, but the highlight was fight like apes
they were ****ing amazing.
i never knew who they were and we kinda thought, we'll stick around for the first song to see are they any good, but they blew me away. and i couldnt here them anytime they said they're name
recognized one of they guys from the band during electric 6 and was talking to him to find out the name of the band and he was dead on, gonna get me to more of their gigs for sure.

fight like apes were excellent! really liked the band on before them to.. not blow yourself away kinda band but really funny lyrics. they sang about bunny boilers and rohypnol and smithwicks...yeah they skirted controversy there.
Good fun anyway. my arms really sore....

Hey cool I was kicked out as well! I was flicking the banner in the disco part and he just came up behind me and rammed me out the emergency exit! The security lads were cúnts alright though. Me and my friend were jumping around for one of the songs and he was telling us to stop. Pretty dumb alright. The band themselves were great though \o/

Was i the only person who thought elecric six sucked donkey cock? they really didn't look like they wanted to be there and dick valentine was spouting sh*te about a war in russia(what war in russia?) and george bush getting re-elected for a third term? i would have preferred to have listened to the two support bands for the rest of the night.

Just seen this thread. Thanks for the kind words. We had a great time playing that gig. And you're not wrong about the bouncers at all. They were just a little heavy handed :rolleyes:
