Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Use mobile phone as high-speed modem ?

    Hi - does anyone know of any mobile network here which supplies a phone which has high-speed internet (presumably HSDPA) and can also be used as a modem for a laptop. Or is anything like this planned to be available soon.

    I know you can get separate data cards for the laptops, but it seems convenient, and cheaper, to have just one mobile account for voice and data.

    That way you can :

    (a) At home, use wired broadband
    (b) Travelling - use wi-fi where available, otherwise, use your phone as a modem and connect to the laptop.
    (c) Without the laptop, use the phone for basic internet stuff anyway

    V3xx does it, not sure on others. You'll find it more difficult to get decent data pricing if you expect decent voice/sms costs too.
