Anyone know of any good/half-decent business networking groups in the North West part of the Country? (i.e., Sligo/Leitrim/Longford/Roscommon).

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find some local business networks.
I don't mind if they are 'real' or web 'social networking' groups
but I strongly feel that a group having a more local perspective is what I need.
We are a growing business and need to avail of local talent and mutual support.

If you are in a similar position to me then are you willing to help startup such a
group if they do not exist?

    Feedback and replacement hair welcome.

We are just in the process of launching www.biznet.ie.
It is not aimed exclusivley at the North West but part of our plan involves creating local chapters.
Would love to hear your feedback or if you want to get in touch directly you can contact me at caroline at biznet dot ie,

BNI are the only business networking group I know. Try Googling them to see if they have meetings in your locality...

    Blender

I am moving to Sligo soon and would be interested in networking. I don't have any big agenda except to build up contacts in the area. I think that it is more effective if people meet in person and the boards is as good a place as any to organise this. I wouldn't really be interested in networking through a website; I just cant see it being effective. I know a group of around 12 guys in Dublin who meet regularly for lunch or dinner and it is very effective and also enjoyable.

    Anyone else interested??
