Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone here start watching Heroes yet? Its on Sci-Fi on Sky Digital, not sure if any other channels picked it up yet. It seems to be doing a Lost style mystery thing, it looks good, hope episode 3 is as good as the first 2.

I thought the first two episodes were pretty good but im not too sure about the acting. The single mother in particular, is pretty bad and the 'bad guy' is a bit cheesy! Nowhere near as good as Lost though.

i disagree about Lost being better. but then i dont see these shows being remotely similar. but that's just me

but anyway. continue watching it as it is fantastic

Yeah but the single mom is HOT!:D

I would disagree about the Lost comparison too... I think Heroes is a far superior show. I always hate how Lost teases you with a major cliffhanger only to forget the cliffhanger ending for a few weeks. Heroes at least delivers in every episode!

Its currently running on Sci-Fi if you have a Sky subscription (tonight at 10 for the third episode), and both the BBC and Channel 6 have plans to pick it up when Sci-Fi are finished their run.

I'm sure I've seen it being advertised as starting on Channel 6 this Thursday.

As it turns out, you're right. I don't watch 6 much.

The first two episodes are being shown back to back from 9.30 on Thursday on Channel 6.

first 2 eps were ok not great
    last nights was good

    thats just..........rip off

so heroes....any news on last night[ep 3] ratings?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Just watched the first 2 episodes on 6. Pretty good but not quite as good as the first couple of episodes of Lost.

Having said that I'm losing interest in Lost rapidly. First season fantastic. Second season less so but still good. Third season it's just disappearing up its own backside.

Will definitely try and tune into Heroes again next week.

Had the first 3 episodes recorded from SciFi and watched them last night. Thought it was very good start and will definitely keep tuned.

I've never understood the point of softcore porn.... is like some sort of equivalent to Fisher Price to get you started out on the basics?

    'Baby's First ****'

    lmao

    this is so off topic..........
so heroes on sci fi....to be honest, may start watching on channel 6,as the monday night at 10pm slot on sci fi clashes with prision break

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

Apparently Channel 6 also shows it in widescreen.

Also I've always found Sci-Fi channel to have about the worst possible picture and sound quality available on Sky Digital. They should drop the +1 channel and just have one good quality stream.

Also... they have a brilliant discussion forum on the heroes section of their website: http://www.channel6.ie/heroes/

true-the picture on sci fi and fx is deporable........watch buffy on sky 1,and then on both the channels i mentioned, and you iwll automatically notice the huge diff
make sure its same season of buffy though cause they upgraded the cameras after season 3,so before season 4 wont be that good even on sky 1
