500 to spend - CPU, GFX, mobo (and RAM?)

Need to upgrade my 2.6 P4, 6600gt setup.

I can keep the case, PSU and DVD drives etc.

Is 500 enough to cover everything else and provide a decent upgrade?

Also, I have 1gb of 3200, is there any way i can keep it or should i buy DDR2?

If u went on dabs u might find that some things are cheaper

Thats just over 500 but you can sell your ram and make it up. And maybe buy another gig of ram but thats only really if you want to splurge

The ram is pc4300 so you will need someone to verify if that will work with whatever mobo you get

i have this card and to be honest i'm a bit miffed with it. the cooling solution is extremely loud and i've had to change mine. and it has compatability issues with some TFTs and also some bios issues. Sapphires and ATI support were very poor for on these issues and they act like they dont exist. Any way other slightly more expensive versions of the same cards have been recieved very well on all counts. So i'd say go a little further to avoid any issues. also try these guys they're a lot cheaper and ship to ireland. only problem is u have to pay by bank transfer. but thats free. personally i think at their prices any trouble is worth it. www.hardwareversand.de .they'ev got dirt cheap ram too so i'd get everything off em.
