When US gamer David Harr got frustrated being 60 points short of completing a title he decided to take radical action - he built a machine to do it for him.

Car mechanic David Harr, from Seattle, realised he needed to devote 40 hours of playing just to earn the final reward points for Perfect Dark Zero.

Taking things a little too far to get the last points

Sense of accomplishment? The same reason people care about completing a game in the first place.

He also seems to have a flair for electronics, and I'm sure there's quite a sense of achievement purely in building the machine itself.

so let me get this straight. He didnt want to spend 40 hours playing the rest of the game so he decides to build a machine to play the 40 hours for him.

Im sure it took him alot longer than 40 hours to build the machine.

    It helps to read. :p
"I calculated that it would take about 40 hours of gameplay just pushing two buttons to start and re-start a game," he said.

"Mr Harr built his xBot machine in about 10 hours."

    30 hour saving.
