Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Internet Explorer 7 and local content

Up until IE7, IIRC, local webpages and suchlike content used to have full permissions, or had them by default.

However, I notice that IE7 treats local content very suspiciously, and disallows the running of Java applets and suchlike from locally hosted pages, forcing me to use use the Information bar to temporarily allow content and refresh each time.

I want to override this. However local content doesn't seem to fall into any of the zones (Internet, Intranet, Trusted, Restricted) so how can I change IEs treatment of local content?

IE has treated local content suspiciously for a while now. You have to apply what is called the Mark of the Web (*thunderclap*) for it to process it as though it was web-viewed content.
