Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm going up to Dublin this weekend and I want to trade in two of my old games and get Crackdown. Could people advise what store will give me the best deal for my trade-ins? Smyths, Gamestop etc?

You won't get Crackdown on a straight swop in any of them for two games.
And yet they still charge 50+ for the games 2nd hand.
Actually in Game yesterday, Viva Pinata was €45 brand new, and €55 second hand....

Gamestop will take 2 games of you and give a new game for 9.99.
Thats what the chap in Dun Laoghaire told me yesterday when I traded in my Ps2 for the Premium. :D

What kind of insulting price do you reckon gamestop would give for Oblivion as a trade against Crackdown? Never could get into it.

Oblivion trades for €22 in GAME if it helps..

FYI - Smyths won't trade in games missing anything like a manual or cover or whatever but gamestop will. Gamestop won't take in games that have a "Not to be sold outside bundle" stickers on them but Smyths will. I had both these probs on Monday. The best deal is trade 2 games get new one for €9.99. Argos are the cheapest for games followed by Smyths but if your not trading buy em at CD Wow online. They accept laser and are around €15 cheaper.

    Yup, this I knew.

9.99 plus two old games for a new one? That sounds better than I expected. Nice one. Gamestop it is so.

A guy in Game a few years ago told me they paid 1/3 of their second hand selling price.

Xtravision claim to give the best price for trades-in but never tried them.
