Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will the luas red line be running on paddy's day?
Did they have to remove the overhead lines crossing O'Connell St. to allow the floats etc. to pass before? (or is that an urban myth?)

I take it there would be some restrictions during the parade anyways

The permitted size of Parade floats was reduced 4 months after opening of the Luas red line in 2004. This decision was taken after it was deemed too costly and problematic to remove overhead wires. It would appear that nobody had actually thought about it until then.

Good thing too, you can just imagine some muppets holding up the rollout of LUAS for a few months while they figure out how to have the lines and the parade live in harmony.

Nah they just have the parade crash into the lines. Then there'd be an investigation and Paddys Day would be banned for health & safety reasons :D
