You'd imagine a site like bebo would have some sort of helpdesk section of its own, wouldn't you.

so, if you know that it should be in another forum, why would you post it here?

    moved to the appropriate forum.

    jesus, bebo.

    jesus, bebo.

I taught about this forum, but it doesn't really suit,

    Cool Link? No.
    Cool Pic? No
    Cool Vid? No

I taught about Computer Tech as well but i don't think it would suit either, so can i get it moved back to AH unless you want to explain why it suits "Cool Vids & Pics & Links"

    Thanks

    no.

and because this is the 'internet and all the crap that goes on it' forum.

bebo definately ranks as crap on the internet.

    is that ok with?

if this forum suited, iwold have gotten a proper reply off someone by now, bebo is a great way to keep in touch with friends, if you haven't got any friends then yes it probably is crap

Thats true. Before bebo you couldn't even ring your friends or email them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,208 ✭✭✭✭aidan_walsh

On the other hand, Bebo is a great way for people to keep in touch without even having to leave their homes, meaning it keeps more Bebo users off the streets and away from the rest of society.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,910 ✭✭✭✭RoundyMooney

Doesn't keep them on Bebo though.

If boards is nearly the same sort of thing as bebo, then why are you here looking for help with there?

Not even close, and I'm on both, as are, I understand, quite a few boards posters.

If Bebo and Boards are so alike, you may want to bookmark this in case of future grievances.

    Just sayin'

Jesus, give the guy a break. He likes bebo, deal with it. He's not going on about whatever websites you like.
OP, I dunno why it isn't working. I just tried one and it worked fine. Are you trying to upload a really big GIF image? Because it says:
What type of photos can I upload?
Images must be in the JPEG, GIF, BITMAP or PNG photo format and a maximum of 2MB in size. If you try and upload a larger file, the upload will fail. If your photo is larger than 2MB you must resize the photo prior to uploading. Most digital cameras include software to do this.
And btw, that link in your first post doesn't work. It will only work for you.

Are you sure it doesn't look like that before you upload it?
I'm no expert, but I can't imagine uploading it would mess it up like that.

definately not, i even tried uploading the pic to diff image hosts around the net, and it uploaded perfectly, i emailed them(bebo) about it and they emailed me back a step through of how to upload a picture

I think you need a minimum delay in between frames for the gif.
I've seen a few of them about and they're not fluidly animated.
Also the max number of frames I've seen is 6 if that has anything to do with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,065 ✭✭✭Fighting Irish

ok heres a couple of examples:

this is the gif before i upload to bebo
    animation162yd.gif

    and this is after

    this is before

    Anyone figure this out yet?

I've emailed bebo twice and both times they sent be back an email about how to upload pictures

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,947 ✭✭✭JDxtra

Looks like distortion due to an inability of their site to resize animated images. Try uploading something that Bebo would not need to resize and see what happens.

    Just a guess though...

now i know nothing about bebo or uploading images, but are the second set of images, the distorted ones, ones that you have already tried to upload?

i dont understand how the images 'come back' distorted. thats just weird.

ok i figured it out, you have to resize them, but even then bebo still messes with the picture slightly

    I'm finding this a real P in the H.
Just spent ages converting a video file to a gif to post it on Bebo and the bloody thing only shows the first 6 frames.
Whats the deal with this? Surely decent gif images are better than the flickery sh*te?!?

everybody knows the gifs are just for knackery flashing playboy symbols and rotating canabis leaves on 13 year olds pages! :D
