Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Id give Ashton until Christmas. He would leave as the most unpopular man ever to play for the club. Ferdinand is faciing Jail (apparently) no wonder he has been rubbish

Someone is bitter  he's good enough for the premier league so why would he spend his time with no-hopers trying to fight off relegation in the Championship?

Bitter! yes you hit the nail on the head. Did you read into why and how he left Norwich? My betting is that he'll probably do that with West Ham once things start going pear shaped *which has already started.

Why are you bitter? You got an inflated £7.5 million for a player you only spent £3 million on. I doubt he had any interest in playing for Norwich anyway.

He probably had the same interest in playing for Norwich than he does playing for West Ham and also we haven't got the £7.5million from West Ham yet because it's still due

Also heard today that he lied to Curbs and said he had to visit his sick granny, instead he went on the piss with some mates to the States. Curbs has since found out.

yeah i heard that too. with players like that no wonder the hammers are in such a mess, i really feel sorry for Curbishly, the players seem to have no respect for him and the problems there seem a lot deeper than anyone anticipated when he took the job over. i can't see them avoiding relegation this season, i only hope magnusson doesn't get rid of curbs, but rather give him time to completely clear the place out and build over completely, because that's what the club needs.

Its a real pity to be talking about clearing out a club of such undoubted potential and talent. We saw what a number of them were capable of doing last season, they just dont seem bothered this season. What a team they could have been able to put out this season! The likes of Green, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Koncheskey, Benayoun, Reo-Coker, Mascherano, Tevez, Ashton, Harewood, Bowyer, Zamora etc have all shown real quality at one time or another, and then the new boys as well, Neill, Upson and Boa Morte (never a big fan of davenport myself). If they go down, id say the vast vast majority will be gone.

How did things go wrong so fast!?!

Is it richard keys talking from the studio? saying the goal came a minute outside the "agreed" extra time. It's clearly called out as "a minimum of x minutes will be played"

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,983 ✭✭✭leninbenjamin

that has to be the final nail in the coffin. i can't see a recovery after that. despite Tevez's best efforts the rest of the players just seemed intent on giving it away, not a single decent passer among the rest of them left on the field at the finish.

Gas thing is, when Lee put it out for the throw after the 4 minutes I was screaming "blow up you wan*er" thinking we'd concede again...

i bet he wouldnt have said that if West Ham scored when they were attacking

Jesus christ, what a harsh result. But West Ham have only themselves to blame. Especially Ferdinand, what in the world was he doing fouling on the edge of the box like that?

Tevez finally announces himself to the English game, could see one of the top clubs buying him this summer if he can continue to perform like that.
Tevez and Ashton really woulda been a great partnership.

Unbelievable! Delighted to win at the death but have to feel for Tevez, he was excellent.

doesn't matter how good the two strikers are, Tevez hasn't had the impact you would have expected because (at least in any game I've seen) the midfielders and defenders are all useless passers (at least this season they've been horrible) and just lump it up to Harewood or the like. Tevez needs better midfielders behind him, or else he ends up playing waay too deep like he does most of the time at westham.
