Broadband In Fort Lorenzo

just moved recently and dont want the hassle of setting up a internet account that will require a phone line.
does antone know does that "broadband in a box" thing work in fort lorenzo?
the company website is only confusing me and i'd prefer to know from someone with experience of it before i spend the cash and sign up!

One thing you could get is a HSPDA card (if you have a laptop) or HSPDA modem (if you have a standard computer) from either 3, Vodafone or O2.

These allow you to surf the web at broadband speeds from almost anywhere in the country for around €40 a month.

Do you have NTL TV in your house? If you do you should be able to get broadband from them.

broadband is useless
constantly drops for hours on end.

Jeez never knew such a product existed, that's pretty cool. Does anyone have one of these guys? Would be tempted to get a USB Vodafone one. Are they worth it? I looked at the 3G map, do they only work in the purple (3G Broadband) zones, yeh?

Vodafone's 3G Broadband network covers most of the major urban centres and the region around them. (almost all of Galway and it's satellite towns like Tuam, Oranmore, Claregalway, etc. are covered).

According to Wikipedia:

Vodafone: 59% of the country covered.
O2: ??% of the country covered.
3: 85% of the country covered.

You can probably get Irish Broadband as well but I'd go with NTL if you can.
