New Tyres - Tracking fixed?

I got two new front tyres fitted today by Fast Fit on Malpas Street because the outsides of the two front ones were feathered due to the car pulling a bit to the left.

However with the two new tyres the tracking is almost perfect, if anything is a tiny amount to the right.

I had the tracking done before in an Advance Pitstop before and they said it was off due to the camber which couldn't be fixed without major work and to just live with it.

Could it be that the wheels themselves to blame or were not balanced properly?

I noticed that the ride quality was a little smoother and turning was far smoother also, all in all its a total different feel to the car (for the better).

Could all of this be down to the new tyres just gripping the road better and thus easier to steer on the line they are pointed to ?
