Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Probably doesn't warrant it's own thread but there's no active TNA thread going. Danielson calling out the NWA champ? Does this mean NWA is breaking away from TNA? I doubt it means Danielson is going to TNA. I'm interested by this!

    found this on tnawrestlingnews.com
Mike Johnson is reporting that TNA will be losing the rights to the NWA name and the NWA titles in the next several months. TNA has plans to introduce their own set of World and Tag Team titles very soon. One scenario being discussed would see Samoa Joe win the NWA title and then toss it down saying he's the TNA champion instead much like Shane Douglas did in ECW back in 1995.

Over the weekend, at an NWA show in Canada, Bryan Danielson made a challenge saying he wants to be the NWA champion. The NWA committee met and once the titles are gone from TNA Danielson is in line to be the next champion.

Strange..it had always been reported that TNA held the rights to the titles until 2014. Unless they're just looking to use their own titles, which I wouldn't call a bad idea, since it probably confuses any new fans watching as to why their titles look to be from some other company

Danielson as champ is always a good thing!

Apparently, there is some unhappiness between NWA and TNA, so TNA has decided to bring in their own belts. This is all rumoured to be going down at the Destination X PPV.

The name 'NWA' means nothing in this day and age. TNA don't need the rub off that name.

I can't say I like the Joe scenario mentioned above since, as usual, it's copying an excellent angle that's already been done.

Since they have the rights to the name NWA for now, I'd like to see TNA have one wrestler representing and fighting for the legacy of the NWA title (maybe Sting?) going up against somebody who holds no interest in that legacy (Joe, Christian etc.)

Then let there be a match which results in there being simply a TNA heavyweight champion.

That story seems a bit similar to the undisputed title in WWE a few years back if your talking about a title merge. I'd prefer the Joe tossing the title as it's only been done on ECW where not many would have seen it. I agree they should try and drop all connection to NWA including the title names though.

The race for the NWA title is hotting up, seemingly!

Pearce, Albright, even Kamala all want Christian! This is getting ridiculous.

What are the odds of David Arquette ending up with it? ;)
