I've made up my mind...I'm gonna get one. I have a mondeo now and can't wait to trade for the new model. I wasn't too sure about the ugly pics I saw the past few months and from Casino Royale but Ford have officially released new info and pics and the saloon looks very nice indeed. It's has lots of new Ford inventions and gadgets.

not mad about the shape but the interior and dials/DIS look pretty nice..

Youtube doesn't do it justice. It's out of shape and looks like an old renault.

In proper proportions it looks very impressive. There's a bit of old A6 and volvo about it from different angles.

Ford always come up with some good gadgets.

Was this released too late to be in the running for car of the year?

    Happy motoring!

Was that not for the next-next mondeo, i.e in 2014 or something?

That was never going to happen on a mid-market rep-mobile. I've read that the next Mazda 6 will be based on the Mondeo and may be more adventurous. Who knows, it may adopt the mini-CLS coupe-like profile of the Mondeo concept...

I'm not crazy about the new Mondeo but will have to see one in the flesh before I can decide.

The pictures are of a top spec model i presume. I wonder what it will look like without extra external trim and a set of hub caps. :D

First reviews of new Mondeo coming in now...

    Honest John says...

"Ford seems to have done the impossible and built a car so astonishingly good it eclipses everything else under £30k. Yet prices start at half that."

"If Audi, BMW and Mercedes owners drove it without knowing what it was, most would think it was a better car."

    whatcar gave it 5 stars

Most of Ford's offerings have been so much better than the VW equivalents for quite some time. Despite all their financial & cash flow problems.

It's a real shame that a manufacturer like Ford, who's Mondeo is worthy of No 1 spot in terms of European sales, will still probably be outsold by the Passat by 2 or 3 to 1.

Can't agree more. Ford have been building wonderful cars ever since they got roasted over the 1992 Escort.

Any idea of release / order date. Would be seriously interested in buying one when they come out.

I agree 100% we that also. For the past few years FORD have put amazing cars into the market and their cars looks have shot up too. The look great and have very decent engines. The new range of Focus's and the new Mondeo's are just great cars. Sterdy and powerful.

When you are driving home from work tonight, take a look at how many FORD you pass on the road. I am seeing more and more every month, people are starting to see FORD again as a good all round car.

That heavy line down the side is like the 3-series and new W204 C-Class.

I see all these nw cars have gone for a more aggresive/striking look and the bonnet/front grille area has risen and is more pronounced, obviously the intention is to do well in the pedesdrian NCAP test !

Looks nice, and I agree Ford have been making very good cars again for many years now !

    June afaik.

Ford are currently giving around €2k - €3k discounts off the old model to shift them.
