Hi All, this is possibly a basic enough question. I installed a wireless PCI card on 5 year old machine. ITs basically going to be just a web browser downstairs if needed. The router is upstairs. Picked up the WEP key from the router. Set the Card to connect to the Router. Connection successsfull. However i still cant get…

Hi All,
this is possibly a basic enough question. I installed a wireless PCI card on 5 year old machine. ITs basically going to be just a web browser downstairs if needed. The router is upstairs. However i still cant get out over the web., Do i need to set the IP address on the PC downstairs to match one for the router?. Its like its letting it connect to router buy not letting it get out?
